It has been quite a while since I last sat down
with the pen (computer keyboard) and wrote an
update on what is happening or not happening at
the lodge. As you know summer as come and
gone, the leaves have fallen and there is a
slight hint of snow in the air.
We again had a busy year with its fair
share of events good and bad...read

The nice thing
about living way in the bush is that on any
given day you will get to see some wildlife. It
can be anything from a small chipmunk to a
majestic moose. It is not abnormal to come out
of road or drive back in and get to see a slow
paced turtle crossing the road, a fox scurrying
along, a bear minding its own business, a deer
alertly fleeing away or a moose unsure of its
next move...read more

Memquisit Lodge
dates back to the early 20’s when a steam ship
captain by the name of Charles Britton, having
sailed by this beautiful bay on many occasions

land and build a tourist camp which he named
Memquisit Lodge. Not much history is kept on
