The Crew

The Main Crew

The main crew is comprised of 4 great individuals who back in the year 2000 decided to pursue a life long dream of owning their own business by dropping an offer that would eventually turn into reality early April of 2001

The four is made up of two couples born and raised in the immediate area.  They come from slightly different walks of life having acquired skills through past employments that have become extremely helpful and crucial in the everyday management of Memquisit Lodge.  Let's meet each one individually.  We must first note that the female gender of the main crew hold a tight rain on their male counterparts and run a very tight ship.  The boys end up with a substantial amount of honey to do list.

Charlene & Frank Daoust

Charlene was born and raised in Monetville Ontario, which is basically the same town Memquisit lodge is located.  She is happily married to Frank and is the mother of two children, a boy of 13 years of age and a girl of 11 years of age.

She brings to the business numerous years of office experience handling and meeting difficult deadlines on a timely basis.  Her unparalleled composure and pleasantness provide the lodge with an ideal character to effectively handle customer's requirements.

Her personal working experience brought her from working in a local restaurant in her high school years to Administrative Assistant for the French River Municipality and the Ontario Provincial Police local detachment office.

Frank needless to say is happily married to Charlene.  He was born and raised in Noelville, a small town located 10 miles west of Monetville

Frank's background was obtained through various facets of retail marketing.  He possesses a great understanding of what customers want and need.  His marketing approach assures that our customers are well taken care of.  Frank's flair for designing professional ads and artwork for the lodge provides a personal touch to all of our advertising.  Over his career in the retail sector he has obtained numerous business connections throughout Ontario that serve the lodge's day to day activities very well.

Lisette & Denis Larose

Lisette like Charlene was born and raised in Monetville.  She is happily married to Denis and is the loving mother of three children, 2 boys, one of 28 years of age and married, a second of 21 years of age and a girl of 18 years of age.

Her meticulous thoroughness and awareness for the fine details provide us with the assurance of meeting our deadlines.  Her sympathetic nature and understanding assures our customers of receiving unprejudiced and sincere services.  Throughout her career, she has always excelled in customer service.  Lisette is also a Reiki Master and possesses certificates in relaxing massages and reflexology.

Denis just like Frank was born and raised in Noelville.  His business background originated from years of experience working his way from the bottom up in the manufacturing sector.  His strength lies in crunching numbers and the ability to listen and learn from other's experiences.

The remainder of the Crew

Memquist Cook Lorraine
Lorraine

Lorraine our main cook has been with us since 2002.  The mouth-watering aroma that fills the lodge is a result of her work.  Everyday, she delivers home cooked meals,  Fresh baked pies, hot and tasty soups and to die for desserts.  Lorraine doesn't miss a beat.  She is always eager to try something new and when she does she'll tweak it just enough to bring out the best in what she's prepared.  We know we have a tremendous individual in Lorraine.  Happily married to Robert, she is the mother of 3 all grown up children, 2 boys and a girl, and grandmother of 8 4 boys and 4 girls all of whom she loves with all her heart.
Head cleaner Noella
Noella

Noella cleans our cabins and everything else around.  She has been with us since 2003.  Her work is meticulous as she gets our cabins ready for each one of you.  Our terrain although recognized for offering breathtaking views is very laborious for our employees.  Everyday, Noella hauls several packsacks up the hills so that she can clean the cabins.  Not enough can be said about this special employee.  She is a hard worker with an amazing sense of responsibility.  Noella is a mother of 2 all grown up children, one boy and one girl and proud grandmother of 5 1 girl and 4 boys.

BillyOur guide Billy

A lot could be said about Billy.  He is our all around utility person performing any work that is assigned to him from chopping down trees for firewood to cleaning boats and painting cabins.  Billy uses a very precautious approach to effectively perform all of his duties.  His work is meticulous and done in a timely manner.  In addition to performing his work to an unmatched standard, Billy is our resident guide for fishing and hunting.  He is well adverse with the waters of Lake Nipissing having spent most of his life navigating and guiding this body of water.  Billy offers his clients unsurpassed services assuring that their time on the water is not fruitless.  To top it all Billy will cook you a shore lunch that you will soon not forget.  He is a kind-hearted person putting others well in front of his himself.
Our main chore boy/guide Alex
Alex

Alex has been with us for 3 years now.  He is a third year student at a college in Southern Ontario and is studying to become a history major.  He is a vibrant young man with the perfect attitude for this lodge.  He loves nature and wishes he had been born and raised in this area.  His customer skills are next to none and his willingness to listen and learn is virtually unmatched.  Alex like Billy works around the yard and guides for our guests.  He is well adverse with the waters of the lake, having spent all of his childhood summers at his mom and dad's camp located a mere 2 minutes west of the lodge.  Alex is an avid fisherman and a good one at that.
Our 2nd Guide Archie
Archie

Archie is our call in guide and a good one at that.  Like Billy, Archie has been navigating this lake all of his life.  His ability to put you on a spot where you will catch fish is remarkable.  In addition, he will cook a shore lunch that will certainly satisfy your taste buds and leave you smacking your lips throughout the remainder of the year as you think back on your guided day.  Archie is happily married to Diane and is the father of one all grown up boy.

Laura

Laura is an unbelievable artist.  She compliments this by also being a fantastic coordinator.  For this reason, LauraOur Co-ordinator Laura heads our kids activity program, which is offered free of charge to all kids ranging from 5 to 12 years of age.  As you first come into the lodge area you will notice a magnificent painting representing Memquisit Lodge on the back of our walk-in cooler.  This painting is the result of Laura's prestigious work.  Laura is happily married to Peter.  She is also the mother of 3 all grown up children.

Our Weekend Crew

Without our weekend clean up crew it would be impossible to prepare our cabins on time.  These people work relentlessly against the clock having to prepare up to 18 cabins in a maximum time of 5 hours from check out to check in.  One cannot forget that in order to perform this work these individuals basically have to be rock climbers, as a number of our cabins require them to haul heavy pack sacs up the steep hills leading to some of our cabins.  This crew is comprised of the following special individuals;

Josée, Marilyn, Angela B., Carole, Denise, Angela P., Samantha, Kaitlin, Emelie, Danika, and Sebastian

Without these folks the main crew would not keep up.
